The space was a concrete box, an acoustic nightmare. We developed a drop ceiling with orange perforated metal that had sound proofing on the top.
I decide to create an open kitchen. The front of the building was kept entirely in glass. By having an open kitchen we were creating an "atelier", artist workshop. This way, the passers-by could see what was being served for lunch.
We used a great number of natural materials for the table and countertops. I also developed a very sleek looking salad/bar, which would act as a cooling station for daily salads at lunch time and doubled as an extra bar for large events in the evenings.
