About this project

Located on the 10th floor, this apartment has wonderful views and an excellent source of natural light. With the main exterior wall being mostly composed of glass, we really wanted to keep this space in touch with the surrounding landscape. We decided to focus the design story on nature, with minimal contemporary characteristics. To comply with the client’s love for nature, we used wooden materials to bring  some warmth in the apartment. We also wanted to bring in a few more elements of nature through the use of natural stones and fabrics. We did this by using gorgeous silestone for the countertop of the kitchen, bringing it up the wall as the backslash.  This has created a dramatic focus point in the kitchen. We also implemented lighting under the counters to create a dramatic look in the evening.

When it came to furniture, we went for a custom made pinned dark grey sofa and a singular beautiful Italian designed “Cammeo” chair in black leather. We contrasted this with a beautiful soft beige carpet, which contributed to a more contemporary design.

We have made a built-in unite in the living room area with a custom eco ethanol fireplace and a large inset TV monitor. Furthermore, the living room was equipped with three lit shelves for displays as well as a stereo and speakers.

The kitchen is from a renowned German manufacturer, Beckermann. The base units are made in a fabricated oak finish with light grey cabinetry that runs along the top of the counters.

The furnishing is imported from top reputable fine furniture suppliers. The sofa, beds and head boards are all bespoke pieces made with fabrics that have been chosen for this particular design concept.

We have also included the piano and workout equipment specified by the client.
